Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament administered by the priest in order to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially to those near death. It is best not to wait until someone is near death, but to call as soon as they are seriously ill. The sacrament can also be received before a surgery or medical procedure, or for those with serious mental illness.

Would you or your loved one like to receive the Sacrament of Anointing? Priests are eager to celebrate this Sacrament with those in need. Please call the parish office to schedule an appointment.  If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please first call medical personnel to assist in your health needs.  For emergency anointing, call the parish office (419.589.2114) and select the appropriate number indicated for a priest in association with an emergency. If you are calling after-hours and weekends, please note that the message will not be received until the office reopens.

We have a Homebound and Hospital Ministry made up of parishioner volunteers for those who would like to receive the Holy Eucharist. If you or someone you know is in need of this ministry, please call our parish office for more information. If you are a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and would like to be part of assisting with this ministry, please contact the parish office. 419.589.2114 Ext. 501.
